How to cook your turkey.
. first of all, remove the inner of your turkey.
The night before make juice for the turkey to soak in for 8 hours (just enough time to sleep):
. boil one white wine bottle, add 1/2 a glass of salt, rosemary, bay leaves, 1/4 or a cup of cranberries, and 3 onions.
. let it rest in the fridge, in a zip bag, for 8 hours for the taste to be soaked in.
In the morning, remove the bird from the fridge:
. clean the turkey and salt and pepper according to your likings.
. in the cavity you will put in the oven, add slices lemons, thyme and a bit of white wine.
. put in the oven for 20 minutes at 250 degrees Celsius. After that, down the temperature to 180 degrees Celsius and let it heat for about 4 hours. Make sure to check from time to time and, with a spoon, bathe the turkey with the wine that is in the cavity.
Sweet potato fries.
. to make the sweet potatoes tender, let them boil in warm water for about 20 minutes. Following that, peel off the skin and slice into thin pieces.
. On an oven tray, add a baking sheet. Preheat the oven to 230 degrees Celsius.
. Drip the sweet potato slices in olive oil and sprinkle with a bit of salt.
. Add the tray in the oven and let the potatoes bake for approximately 20 minutes. Turn them each 5 minutes until they are a bit golden.
Golden apples for the dessert.
Ingredients.
3 peeled apples
1/2 cup of sugar
1/2 cup muesli
a soup spoon of flour
Instructions.
. Peel the apples and cut them in small pieces.
. Add the apple pieces to a pan filled with 2 cups of water. Let them soak in for 10 minutes. Make sure the pan never runs empty of water of else the apples will burn.
. Add the sugar to the pan and let it soak in for 15 minutes while stirring each 5 minutes. Add the flour.
. Finally, add in the muesli and mix everything. If you want, you can add cranberries to make it more festive.
