The Golden Globes awards are the opening of what we can call the “Award season” concerning the world of cinema. The world of cinema has always been associated of glamour and elegance. This side of the show business reaches its apogee on the red carpet during the awards season. It is also the time when millions of people sit in front of their televisions, eating pop corn, while watching the celebrities walking down the famous carpets. The first Golden Globes ceremony was held in 1944 in the 20th Century Fox studios in Los Angeles. Nowadays they are usually hosted by the Beverly Hilton Hotel in Beverly Hills, California.
I selected for you the five most well dressed women on the red carpet of the 72nd Annual Golden Globes Awards which was held this week in Los Angeles.
Julianne Moore was nominated for two awards this year. Best actress in a supporting role for Map to the stars in which she plays a psychotic actress getting older and for the best actress in a drama for Still Alice. She won the Golden Globe for best actress in a drama. She played wonderfully well a Columbia University teacher who is diagnosed with an early stage of Alzheimer. She wore a Givenchy silver sequins dress by Ricardo Tisci, which matches her diamond finery by Chopin. The perfect example of being chic and elegant.
Lupita Nyong’o brought a floral and summery breeze on the event by wearing this Giambattista Valli Haute Couture dress with nice tones of purple and cream with a flowery textured tube top. She was not nominated for a Golden Globes but she still shined by her delightful outfit, just like last year, that made her dark beauty and her exhilaration stand out of the crowd.
Emma Stone was there for her nomination for best supporting actress in a motion picture for Birdman. It was her second nomination for a Golden Globe but unfortunately she did not get one this year. She chose simplicity for this red carpet by wearing an hybrid masculine/feminine combination from Lanvin. It is the perfect alternative for such an event. The outfit is at the same time original and classic. There was no need for jewellery as the top of her outfit is already a jewel in itself. Well done Emma!
The newly wed Mrs. Clooney entered the red carpet this season with great taste and elegance. Amal Alamuddin is not a super star as you can usually see in these kind of events. She is a very successful international lawyer who worked for the United Nations, she is also a huge defender of the human rights world wide. Mr and Mrs Clooney were present due to the nomination of Goerge for a Career Achievement award. Amal was wearing the chicest outfit of the evening by choosing this Christian Dior Haute Couture black structured dress with some wonderful Harry Winston earrings. Welcome to the glamorous world of Hollywood Mrs Clooney.
