Elie Saab and Valentino Garavani are men that have proved their affection for pure and elegant designs.
Born near Beirut, the Lebanese designer makes it essential to keep his workshops in his country. Raised by a wood merchant, Elie Saab was raised with the passion of clean structures. He started sewing as a child and drew inspiration from his mother’s fashion magasines.Since his passion for fashion started quite early, it doesn’t comes as a shock when we realise he founded his couture label at the age of 18. With ambition and persistence, Elie Saab was soon the uprising wedding gown confectioner of Beirut, attracting the high society and the women of his neighborhood.
Being interested by other things than his safety zone, Elie Saab soon started creating haute-couture gowns made of rich material such as satin, organza, or lace. He soon earned recognition overseas, especially when he when he was the first non-Italian designer to join the National Chamber for Italian Fashion. He then started to hold fashion shows in Milan.
He became an overnight world wide success after Halle Berry wore a dress to the Academy Awards in 2002. After that, Elie Saab dressed a fair amount of stars such as Beyoncé, Mila Kunis, Emma Watson, Taylor Swift, Jane Fonda, and the list continues. He proves that fancy dresses aren’t only for the slim but is truly for any real woman.
Valentino stands for timeless style, grace and passion. The fashion brand was founded 1960 by the Italian designer Valentino Garavani, which actually left the fashion house in the year 2008.
Until now the designs are unique and highly recognizable – especially with regard to gowns and costumes in passionate red, which is well-known as the Valentino Red. In each collection there is at least one piece which is red, and which in return embodies passion, affection and desire. The color should emphasize the sex appeal of each woman and represent her in an unmistakable graceful and romantic look.
It is hard to describe the timeless style of Valentino, and it is definitely worth it, to take time to watch the perfection embodied in their shows. In the following I will present one of my most favorite recent designs by Valentino. It is not hard to fall in love with the designs and get affected by them.
And if you are still interested then don’t forget: the next collection by Valentino will be presented in about four weeks in Paris and the fashion show will be broadcasted live via the internet.
