Daisies (1966)

by Věra Chytilová.

Two teenage girls discover the spoiled world they live in and decide to live as spoiled individuals as well. They undergo a series of pranks on the people that surround them and destroy things. They rejoice from evil and immorality, making it an interesting plot as the girls go from innocent to machiavelic.

This movie was banned by the Czech authorities as it was considered as “depicting the wanton”. It also has references to religion as the opening sequence shows the two main characters biting into an apple that strangely ressembles the Garden of Good & Evil.

Also, the film shifts from black & white scenes to those filmed in color, which keep the audience captivated.

you can watch the whole movie underneath.
