Gigantic Casual Friday.

This week’s theme is gigantic! What a perfect opportunity to discuss the special locations of our favourite fashion shows. Part of the magic of fashion is the location of the runway to make the clients feel the vibe and inspiration of the designer.

Dior has a tradition of creating wonderful and spectacular venues for their fashion show. In 2012 they renovated an old house in Paris for the occasion. Raf Simon wanted all the walls of the venue to be covered in fresh flowers making the location look surreal. Here are some pictures.

In 2016 they built a quite impressive cocoon covered of flowers in the courtyard of the Louvre museum in Paris.

But the most gigantic runways are the Chanel ones. From an iceberg to a parisian street; the team always recreate the most impressive runways, here are some examples from the past fashion shows. The location doesn’t change (The grand Palais in Paris) but the themes are always different and various.
